Welcome to my new blog. I was getting annoyed with Blogger for myriad reasons, so here I am. And huge thanks to Jessica Jarman for helping me figure out how this all works and helping me set it up. And by helping me set it up, I clearly mean doing it for me because I’m incompetent.
This week we’re talking about our favorite actors and actresses. Weirdly, mine seems to be fixated on the U.K. and Ireland. Go fig. But I’m just gonna roll with it and list them in alphabetical order…because I could use a little less chaos in my life at the moment.
Benedict Cumberbatch…I don’t care that Jenny Trout says he looks like a lizard in a man suit. I love him anyway.
Hugh Dancy. I love him as Will Graham – love that poor, tortured soul.
Idris Elba could read me the ingredients on a bottle of sunscreen and I’d be happy. *le sigh*
Anthony Stewart Head will always be Giles to me. And I’ll always love him for it.
Tom Hiddleston and…delayed gratification. *full body shudder*
Oh Bradley James, you made me cry so much during Merlin, you bastard.
Katie McGrath – I adore her. My crush on her is monstrously huge.
Helen Mirren – my crush on her is equally out of control.
Colin Morgan – I can’t wait to see him in The Fall.
Alan Rickman, I will love you ’til the end of time.
Maggie Smith is just amazing.
Patrick Stewart – I’ve loved him since I was twelve and first saw Excalibur.
Oh David Tennant, you delightful Scot.
Kate Winslet – her performances always stick with me – particularly Clementine from Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
There are a ton more, but these are the ones who immediately hopped into my head. Thanks for that, BBC.

Erm…Two are from Ireland, one from Scotland and the rest are English. Clearly, I need to do an American version of this list. 😀

You sure love them folks across the pond. 😉 You’d admitted it was fixated across the pond but I wondered if any of them were not from there. 🙂 Nothing wrong with a healthy obsession with those accents 😉 , in fact I got a few crushes on those across the pond myself. Mine would include, from your list, Tennant, Winslet, and Rickman. Add to that Colin Farell, Colin Firth, Gary Oldman, Emma Thompson, Julie Andrews, Jeremy Irons, Sean Connery, Damian Lewis, Gerard Butler and so many more but I can see my list getting more about the hotness factor than the acting factor so I’ll stop.
